In the Lands is an independent publication launched in May 2026 by Kristal McKenzie.
Why In the Lands Exists
In the Lands was created to help connect the Richlands community through local news, events and public information.
Like many growing small towns, important information is often scattered across meeting agendas, social media pages, flyers and word of mouth. This publication aims to make local information easier to find, follow and understand.
Coverage includes local government, community events, schools, arts, business and everyday life across the area.
In the Lands currently has no paywall. Local news and public information should be accessible to the community it serves.
The goal is simple: thoughtful, accurate and community-focused reporting that helps residents stay informed and engaged.
Corrections & Updates Policy
In the Lands strives for accuracy, fairness and transparency in all reporting. If you believe we have published an error, please contact us at [email protected] with a link to the story in question.
When an error of fact is confirmed, we will correct it as promptly as possible.
